Something New | Green Boxes Productions

I've hinted here and there that something new was brewing here on this blog. Now, I'm finally going to explain what it is!

I've been writing on daphnehasfun and making videos over on the related YouTube channel since June 2014. The blog has gone through many iterations over these years. From recipes to crafts to geeky culture and movies to gardening, it has covered a lot. And that's because my interests are so wide-ranging and I wanted to share as much as possible. I've loved making this content, but essentially I've just been making it for myself because with such diverse set of videos and posts, it's hard to find an audience. On top of that, so many of the types of videos I was making are already so well-represented in the community. Moreover, I wanted to focus my time on something that is unique but also worthwhile. Don't get me wrong, I think the videos I have made have worth and importance. Given the state of the world, however, I really want to do my part in creating positivity and progress to combat the tide of hate and destruction. So it's time for a change.

Don't worry! The blog and channel are continuing onward and the changes are really occurring over on YouTube. Daphne Has Fun the channel will now be known as Green Boxes Productions. GBP will be focused on videos about sustainability, social consciousness, self-care, positivity, things that just make a difference or make people happy. That said, I don't want people to feel condescended to or preached at. I'm still going to be the silly, sarcastic human that has been here for the past three years.  It's just important that I do something that represents me and my worldview and connects people to ways of making the world better. This is evolving and we will surely come up with cool ideas as go along and get inspired.

With all this new, interesting person, you are also going to get a new co-host. My dear friend, Leila will be joining me on this adventure and sharing her wisdom about the topics we are covering.

It feels especially important given the divisiveness of the world and all the depressing things that seem to be happening all around us that I make something that does something that is promotes "good" in this world. At the same time I am definitely not abandoning my more lighthearted pursuits. DaphneHasFun.com will be staying largely the same, just with weekly posts that showcase what's happening on the Green Boxes Productions channel. So keep tuned for playlist posts, random recipes, musings, photoblogs, etc. etc.

ALSO, I'm starting up The Maybe Show again! As you may recall, The Maybe Show was let's play videos of my mediocre gaming ability. It is also going through a revamp. Now you can expect all things geeky including crafting, commentary, and adventures. So with all these changes, you're getting more, rather than less content. HUZZAH!
