Nov 10 November Recipes: It's Thanksgiving!

I can't tell you how much I love the holiday season. The festivities, the generosity, the family times, even the chill in the air all delight me. And the food, of course the food. I'm quite partial to Christmas and I've already been gearing up for the blog and vlog-tacular the will be December, but first I've got a lot to share for Thanksgiving! Hopefully there will be some DIY and other fun posts, but this one is all about that food. <I had that All About That Bass song playing in my head when I wrote that sentence...>

I have a number of recipes that you can use for Thanksgiving or for another dinner party or even just a night when you are looking to cook yourself something a little bit more fancy. But you might be surprised to find that I'm not sharing my recipes for turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole or any of those really classic dishes. Thought I've made those dishes during various "Friends-givings" over the years, I really just use my Mom's recipes because that's her domain. My Mom is in charge of Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner, no arguments. I have, however, slowly finagled my into more responsibilities over the years. Now I am in charge of the appetizers, rolls, cranberry relish, pie fillings, and (sometimes if I'm lucky) a dessert of my own devising. This month I'm sharing a few of those tasty recipes, hopefully before Thanksgiving actually arrives. Fingers Crossed! (The links to the posts will go live once they are posted!)
