Summer Round-up: Best Albums
I've gotten really used to listening to catchy singles, whatever's popular, and jumping from artist-to-artist (as you can probably tell from my monthly playlists). I don't know if it is just the flightiness of our culture or my own short attention span, but either way I want to find more artists and albums that I loved instead of just songs. So this summer I sampled some the most anticipated and critically acclaimed new albums to see if I could find some that impressed me.

The Great
These are the albums I really liked and would listen to over and over again.

I liked these albums and I'm sure I'll listen to them a bit. But they weren't as good as the GREAT ONES.
Chrissie Hynde | Stockholm
The Antlers | Familiar
Lana Del Ray | Ultraviolence
Tiesto | A Town Called Paradise
Ed Sheeran | X
The Fresh & Onlys | House of Spirits
The OK
I found a couple of songs on these albums, but the albums on a whole were not something I would revisit.
Coldplay | Ghost Stories
I only liked the singles :(
Banks | Goddess
Basement Jaxx | Junto
Royksopp & Robyn | Do It Again
I only liked the songs that Robyn sang on.
How To Dress Well | "What Is This Heart?"
This Wild LIfe | Clouded
Woman's Hour | Conversations
The Boring
I listened to these, but yeah, they didn't work for me.
Tigers Jaw | charmer
Too sedate and never reaches a pinnacle
Jack White | Lazaretto
(I always wanted to like Jack White, but I just can't bring myself to do it...)
Mariah Carey | Me. I Am Mariah.
Just no.
