October 2015 Music Playlist

I just checked out my playlist of all the songs I gathered this past month and THERE ARE 30 SONGS ON IT. I don't even know how that happened. Just LOOK at it.

Now to narrow it down to the top 5 you need to listen to.

<brief interlude of agonizing decision-making>

Ok, I did it. Here's five songs for you. ButSeriouslyListenToThemAllTheyAreGreat.

1.) "Hello" by Adele. Who hasn't heard this song? I think it was immediately injected into our brains as soon as it was released. That is the power of Adele. I don't have much to say about it other than it is simply just another great Adele song.

2.) "Dissolve" by Hibou. This song with its breathless vocals and pop sensibilities is perfect to bop along to while doing basically anything and is definitely exactly what you expect from an indie musician out of Seattle.

3.) "Friends" by Raury ft. Tom Morello. "Friends" is a beachy, summery pop anthem that you are very used to if you have spent anytime listening to my playlists. It's just the kind of music I love and want to share with the world. The interesting thing about this song is Raury. You never know what you are going to get from him since he makes everything from rap to rock to pop to whatever he wants. At 18, he is pretty new on the scene and I'm predicting that he will be everywhere soon.

4.)  "Feel" by D.A. Wallach. Wallach makes songs that sound like they could have been made in the 60s or 70s. I broad range, but it feels like a lot of different things are folded into his highly produced and orchestrated songs, but I mostly get new version of The Beatles. And I love The Beatles.

5.) "Jinx" by DNCE. There was something so weird about this song that I HAD to put this on my list. And then I heard the rest of the band's weird dance music. And then I found out that Joe Jonas and a kick-ass lady guitarist named JinJoo Lee (among others) are in the band. And then I saw the video for their song, "Cake By The Ocean." I kind of love this band and definitely love this song.

6.) 7 Years by Lukas Graham. This band is new to the international scene and this is one of two songs available to US audiences right now.  I want to hear more. Mainly because I love his voice It is simple AMAZING and it sounds exactly the same live.

Ok, so I lied about settling on 5 songs to highlight. Blame Adele. As I said, I think that everyone in the world already knows about "Hello" so I don't think it counts. It's on the list because it has to be. Enough said.

Check out the whole playlist on the nice spotify player at the beginning of this post or over here on spotify itself.

I hope you liked my picks for this month. Make sure you keep coming back to this blog and my YouTube Channel because I have a lot planned for the next couple of months. You can follow all that and more on my social media. Happy November, everyone!
